Two musical shows for little… and big dreamers

Jazz à ma Taille is a musical universe for young audiences imagined by Carles GR, where jazz becomes a living language of discovery, emotion and imagination.

Through two original productions — Alicia the Dreamer and Alicia and the Magical History of Jazz — audiences embark on interactive musical adventures combining storytelling, live music and children’s participation.

Performed by a warm and dynamic quintet, Jazz à ma Taille offers a sensitive, playful and accessible approach to jazz, where children become active participants in the journey: listening, dreaming, singing, feeling the rhythm, imagining and discovering music in a new way.

ALICIA THE DREAMER

In Alicia the Dreamer, audiences are immersed in a poetic world inspired by the great musical universes of childhood.

From The Jungle Book to The Little Mermaid and Frozen, the quintet revisits these iconic melodies through jazz arrangements full of swing, freshness and creativity.

Blending musical storytelling, improvisation and interaction with children, the show opens the doors to a joyful and sensitive universe where imagination and music become one.

ALICIA AND THE MAGICAL HISTORY OF JAZZ

With Alicia and the Magical History of Jazz, children discover the incredible adventure of jazz through a great musical journey across different eras.

From the early New Orleans sounds to the great swing orchestras, from bebop to cool jazz, from the musical explorations of the 1960s to the modern grooves inspired by the 1970s and 1980s, the show takes audiences through the many colors of a music born from the meeting of cultures.

Through storytelling, revisited jazz standards and audience participation, children discover the evolution of jazz in a lively, accessible and immersive way.

An original and playful way to share the history of jazz while preserving the energy of live performance and the magic of the stage.
